Tal Bar Or is a founding partner and CEO of OCTOPUS. Tal has global expertise in strategic concept design and master security planning in the fields of aviation security, mass transit, critical infrastructure, information security, and loss prevention. The OCTOPUS application was designed based on his experience and expertise acquired during his years security consulting for high end clients around the world.
Before founding OCTOPUS, Tal served in the Israel Security Agency for more than 13 years. He has also held multiple security positions at the Israeli Airport Authority, and worked in the security division of EL AL Airlines. His last position was as the Security Manager for the EL AL Airlines stations in Toronto and Paris from 2005 to 2010.
Tal holds an M.A. in Communication from the University of Paris 8 Saint Denis and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Ariel University. He is also a graduate of the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Course. Tal served as an elite Israel Defense Forces combat soldier and officer in the paratroopers, and he completed his service in the IDF as a company commander of the Israeli Special Forces sergeants’ course.
Baruch Tagori is a founding partner and CTO of OCTOPUS. Baruch is a cyber security and information security expert with more than 20 years of proven experience in the field. Baruch managed cutting edge red teams, during which time he conducted attacks and penetration assessments all over the world. An information security specialist with vast experience in penetration testing and many other platforms, Baruch has proven experience managing large, high risk projects and achieving amazing results in both time and cost.
In the last five years, he oversaw the security management of many leading brands in the global market, which then led him to build the OCTOPUS system together with Tal Bar Or. Baruch has experience in information systems, IT, programming, and security, as well as experience in auditing, risk management, security governance, consulting, and leading large-scale international projects in the areas of regulation, compliance, and technology.
In the past, Baruch also managed the security of telecom companies all over the world and conducted corporate level security audits and consulting services with respect to compliance, procedures, policies, risk assessments, and network architecture reviews. Baruch’s prior experience includes the technical implementation of security systems such as Arcsight, firewalls, Antivirus solutions, network devices, routers, and architecture planning.
Jack Eshel is the CEO of BSI, a global security solutions company that provides turn-key solutions for both public and private organizations in the fields of facility and homeland security. Before joining the private sector, Jack held security related advisory positions in Israel’s Prime Minister’s office. He holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Brussels, and an M.A. in Security Studies from the University of Haifa. Jack is a graduate of the National Security College in Israel.
